Renowned Polish Artist Fexik Kay-Krzewinski 1900-1981 Oil on Canvas 'Penn Wood'
This is a almost unique chance to obtain a painting by renowned Polish born artist Felixs Kay-Krzewinski. Having been displaced as a result of the German invasion he joined the Polish Free Forces becoming a Sargent Major and served in Russia, Siberia, Persia, Middle East and Italy. After the warhe settled in the UK and lived near Norwich marrying thus the Kay in his name. While srving and traveling as a soldier he recorded events in paintings 7 of which are in the collection of the 'Imperial War Museum'. He continued to paint for the rest of his life and several exhibitions of his work have taken place. This is a painting of Holy Trinity Church in Penn Woods near High Wycombe and was probably painted in the 1960's. The last record of his work coming on the market, to our knowledge, was at auction in 2009.
